OVERVIEW:
WAU is a print media discovery and distribution brand with a contemporary twist on the classic magazine stand. Designed for an audience of globally-minded art patrons and niche enthusiasts, WAU needed a brand identity that feels as timeless and dynamic as the print media it champions. My design solution was to create an analogue-inspired identity rooted in exploration, combining retro charm with modern flair. A mix-and-match approach allows WAU’s branding to remain vibrant and ever-evolving, featuring swappable graphics, colors, and fonts to mirror the variety of its curated collections. With three distinct logo editions—vintage, contemporary, and futuristic—the brand stays fresh and adaptable, embodying the enduring spirit of print media in a digital-first space. This versatile identity establishes WAU as a hub for curious minds, setting the stage for growth into a publishing house that brings voices from the periphery to the forefront.
