A Queer Photog
SCOPE:
Creative Direction / Brand Strategy / Brand Identity / Logo Design / Custom Graphics / Website Design / Website Development
OVERVIEW:
Holly is a talented portrait photographer in Seattle who came to me with the desire for a new brand identity and website that not only elevates their work, but also captures the feeling of what it's like to work with them: grounding, joyful, intimate, celebratory, and for many, healing. Since dreamy pnw landscapes act as the backdrop for much of Holly's work, the colors and shapes are heavily influenced by those found in nature. I also wanted to tactfully introduce elements of film photography into the design, so the graphic elements of the logo and brandmark were derived from the swirling pattern of the camera shutter, and the scrolling images on the landing page of the website were inspired by a film reel.
